Description

The Monkees Signed Carlo Robelli Acoustic Guitar

This is a Carlo Robelli acoustic guitar signed by one of the most successful bands of the 1960s, The Monkees. This guitar is signed by Mickey Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork, all obtained in-person at collectors shows in the midwest and the east coast in the 2000s.

Conceived in 1965 for the situation comedy series of the same name, The Monkees became one of the biggest selling groups of all time, making international hits like Last Train to Clarksville, I'm a Believer, A Little Bit Me, a Little Bit You, Pleasant Valley Sunday, and Daydream Believer.

The Monkees are considered one of the original studio and corporation-created bands. The band was conceived as American television's response to the Beatles, creating carefully produced singles a manufactured personae. Later in their career, The Monkees became a self-directed group, playing their own instruments and writing many of their own songs. The Monkees are a key part of the 20th century cultural zeitgiest, and were inducted into the Pop Music Hall of Fame in 2014. They even gave the Jimi Hendrix Experience their first tour exposure. To own this signed guitar is to own a piece of that enigmatic legacy.
