Alan Parker Signed Evita Doodle Book

This is a rare book signed by English filmmaker, Alan Parker. The book was given to the cast and crew of the 1996 musical drama film, Evita. Directed by Alan Parker, Evita starred Madonna as Eva Perón and Jonathan Pryce as Eva's husband Juan Perón. Iconic director and choreographer Vincent Paterson (Blond Ambition Tour, Madonna Vogue MTV Awards 1990) choreographed the film, and was given this book as a gift. The book includes all of Alan's sketches and cartoons that he drew during the filming of Evita.

The Vincent Paterson Collection

This comes from the collection of world-renowned director and choreographer, Vincent Paterson. Most music lovers are familiar with Vincent's work collaborating with two of the most influential music artists ever, Michael Jackson and Madonna, but his career spans just about every genre of the entertainment industry.

Vincent's relationship with Michael Jackson began when he was cast as one of the gang leaders in Michael Jackson's iconic short film/music video, Beat It. Vincent would go on to work with Michael for another 15 years, choreographing the short film for Smooth Criminal, Michael's Super Bowl XXVII Halftime Show, his performance at the Grammy's, as well as creating Michael's first solo tour, the Bad Tour. With Madonna, Vincent choreographed her Express Yourself music video, the movie Evita, her performance at the Academy Awards, her famous Vogue performance as Marie Antoinette at the MTV Awards, as well as directing and choreographing the Blond Ambition Tour.

Vincent has also been a part of some of the greatest movies with music and dance. Paterson directed and choreographed the musical sequences in Lars Von Trier's film Dancer in the Dark, which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes, he choreographed The Birdcage (Mike Nichols), Hook (Steven Spielberg), and ABC's South Pacific starring Glenn Close.

Dance would not be what it is today without Vincent Paterson. He brought character development and storytelling to choreography which had not been present in the art form for many years. What an amazing one-of-a-kind collection.
