Description

Electro Voice RE10 Dynamic Cardioid from Bil VornDick

This is an Electro Voice RE10 Dynamic Cardioid from the collection of Bil VornDick. The RE10 was designed especially for professional applications that require a sharply controlled super-cardioid directional pattern. The RE10 has a degree of directional control that is so effective that fequency response is practically independent of location of sound source. Very little or no off-axis coloration is generated from this microphone, yet it provides the best possible rejection of unwanted sounds.

Bil VornDick is a Nashville Legend and One of the Greatest Producer/Engineers of All Time

We welcome his special collection of gear to ANALOGr.

Known for his hands-on recording-studio skills in acoustic, folk, bluegrass, and Americana, VornDick’s recording career includes over 600 albums, five number 1 hits in five different genres, over 40 Grammy nominations, and 9 wins. After being urged by Chet Atkins to move to Nashville, VornDick attended Belmont University where he graduated from Belmont’s music-business program. VornDick became the chief engineer at Stargem Studio, the founder of The Music Shop, and the owner of Music Row Audio and Mountainside Music Group Productions. Artists he worked with included Alison Krauss, Béla Fleck, T. Bone Burnett, Bob Dylan, Jerry Douglas, Marty Stuart, Vince Gill, Rhonda Vincent, and Ralph Stanley to name a few. It is safe to say the sound of Nashville wouldn’t be what it is today without Bil VornDick.
